Monumental Challenge

 

Summit to Summit is a 7.2-mile Run/Walk/Shuttle that starts on the Summit Christian College (SCC) campus in Gering, Neb., follows a paved pathway west to the Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor's Center, ascends the bluff up Saddle Rock Trail and down Summit Road, and then returns to the SCC campus via the same route.

 

This 7.2-mile run and walk is professionally timed by RaceRite. The course is beautiful, challenging, and well-organized to create  a race experience unlike any other! 

* This is a family-friendly event, therefore for the safety and comfort of all our participants, no dogs/pets will be allowed on the trail at any time during the event. 

Registration Information

Online registration will open in late March.

Registration is available online, by mail or on the morning of the event until 7 a.m. All registrations include a T-shirt and swag bag.

Please pre-register by Friday, May 1 to guarantee your T-shirt/bag.

Registrations received after May 1 or on the day of the event will receive T-shirt/bag as supplies are available.

 

Runners (all ages)                                         $35

Walkers - Adult (ages 16 and up                   $35

Walkers - Youth (ages 10 to 15)                    $20

Walkers - Child (ages 9 and under)               $10

Team (four people, any ages, run or walk)  $120 (save $20!)

 

Events Schedule

Friday
You may pick up your race packet on Friday at Summit Christian College anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

 

Saturday

The Summit to Summit event is on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Summit Christian College campus in Gering, Neb. 

 

Registration             6:30 to 7:15 a.m.

All Runners             Pistol Start at 7:30 a.m.

All Walkers              Pistol Start at 7:35 a.m.

Shuttle Vans            8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. 

Runners' Awards     9:30 a.m.

Breakfast Served and Kids' Fun Events   7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Wristband pass for unlimited children’s bounce houses and games $3 (available at the event)

Summit to Summit features a course unlike other races. The race starts next to Summit Christian College, follows the trail to the museum, climbs up Summit Road to the top of the Scotts Bluff National Monument, then returns to the college campus via the same route.
